Linda (Lin) Marie (Catalana) "Cadillac" Harrison
b. 30 June, 1953 ~ d. 31 January, 2018

As was her way, we were all sworn to "extreme discretion" (read: no FB or other social media broadcasting) regarding Lin's battle against esophageal cancer that began back in July, 2017. That said, word did leak out to some and that was just fine. But on 31 January, 2018, that all changed.

As we've learned after the fact, it's apparently not uncommon for a person to survive the brutal assault of chemo-radiation treatments, appear to be on a gradual recovery and rebuilding course, and then suddenly and fatally take a turn for the worse. Such was the case with our beloved Lin.

As most of Lin's siblings and other kin are in Arizona, that's where a private 'Celebration of a Magnificent Life' was held in lieu of any formal services or funeral. Cremation, as Lin had specified, with ashes passed to family for ceremonial dispensation followed.

I'm putting up this memorial web site with "Lin Tales," photos and a guestbook where friends can express their sentiments about her. Also, please do feel free and welcome to pass along any anecdotes, photos or other 'sweet memories' more involved than what the guestbook can handle to the email address shown below. I'll include all appropriate contributions of that nature to this site as it fleshes out. It'll be a work in progress for some time to come.

Lin was a faithful and tireless supporter of Christ's Kitchen, a food service for the poor and homeless in our transplant hometown (since 2009) of St. Albans, WV. Likewise, she donated a handsome sum each month to the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Eastern Illinois in our hometown for 29 years, Charleston, IL. Those two wonderful operations being only two of several to mention. Please consider a donation in her name to a worthy cause such as those in your own neighborhood. It's all good.

Anyone who knew her at all knows where she is now. She's in a much better place, free from all suffering and no doubt cavorting with Dad's angels. She knew and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus, and that's our comfort to know as well that His promise is good, and that she is now at peace and with Him.

God bless you, little one.
